Researchers from the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (SRI PAS) consistently hold prominent positions in successive editions of international scientist rankings. This time, we would like to highlight the following: two recently published rankings and the highly prestigious "World's Top 2%" list.
List of Most Cited Mathematicians
In the Most cited mathematicians list, published in December 2024, scientists are grouped by the year they obtained their PhD, and within each group, they are ranked by the number of citations in the MathSciNet database. In her group, Professor Irena Lasiecka ranks third in the world with 10,426 citations.
Research.com Ranking
The list Best Computer Science Scientists in Poland includes 7 researchers affiliated with IBS PAN, with five of the top six positions occupied by them. According to the order presented in the ranking, the professors are: Andrzej Cichocki, Roman Słowiński, Janusz Kacprzyk, Andrzej Skowron, Leszek Rutkowski, Sławomir Zadrożny, and Eulalia Szmidt.
Stanford University "World's Top 2%" List
According to the August 2024 data-update for "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators", based on career-long citation data, there are 14 researchers from IBS PAN included. Listed in the order of appearance in the ranking are Professors: Witold Pedrycz, Andrzej Cichocki, Roman Słowiński, Janusz Kacprzyk, Leszek Rutkowski, Andrzej Skowron, Irena Lasiecka, Krzysztof Kiwiel, Eulalia Szmidt, Przemysław Grzegorzewski, Andrzej Krasławski, Jan Sokołowski, Sławomir Zadrożny, and Ryszard Kowalczyk.
