Professor Roman Słowiński awarded professor honoris causa

We were happy to learn that on April 6, 2024  Professor Roman Słowiński received the title professor honoris causa  of the University of West Attica (UWA) in Athens.

The laudation emphasized the outstanding contribution of Professor Roman Słowiński to the development of operational research, applied, among others, in economics and management.

The laureate gave a lecture entitled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Decision Science”. The award ceremony took place during the conference of the European Working Group at EURO (European Association of Operational Research Societies) on Multi-Criteria Decision Support, of which Professor Słowiński has been the coordinator since 2007. The event was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Greece, Artur Lompart, and numerous representatives of the Polish scientific community living in Athens.

This is already the sixth honorary academic title awarded by a foreign university to Professor Roman Słowiński.
