The 14th Conference of the European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology took place in Riga. Katarzyna Kaczmarek-Majer gave a plenary talk “The Role of Fuzzy Linguistic Summaries – New Methods and Challenges“. Katarzyna presented fuzzy linguistic summaries for describing in natural language large datasets, including inhomogeneous time series. Katarzyna presented and discussed several challenges related to the proper construction of linguistic expressions in evolving environments, as well as considerations around the consistency of such information granules.

“This was one of the most excellent scientific conferences I participated in”, says Katarzyna.
