We are pleased to announce that our article, Fuzzy Weighted Shapley Values based on Nearest Neighbor Classification, has been accepted for presentation at 16th European Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Mathematics ESCIM2025, which will take place in La Coruña, Spain, from May 18th to 21st, 2025.
16th European Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Mathematics ESCIM2025 has been organized annually since 2015, bringing together scientists working in the fields of Computational Intelligence, mathematics, and related areas. The conference aims to foster collaboration among researchers and engineers, particularly in domains like smart systems.
Marcin Ostrowski will present his work and engage with other speakers at the event. Marcin is quite excited especially since this will be his first international conference. His article introduces a modification to the existing method, Exact Shapley Values based on Nearest Neighbor Classification, by incorporating fuzzy logic to better handle uncertainty in datasets. This approach enhances the relevance of observations while mitigating the effects of data uncertainty, ultimately improving the computation of Shapley values for pseudo-labeled instances. Potential applications include filtering training data for supervised machine learning models and refining semi-supervised learning techniques. Beyond the conference, Marcin is also looking forward to exploring La Coruña and experiencing Spanish cuisine for the first time. He will be sharing more updates after the event.
