Filip Wichrowski

PhD Researchers

Filip Wichrowski is a PhD student in the project and a Research Assistant at the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw Poland. His main research interests include stochastic processes, time series analysis, mathematical and computational statistics. His work is driven by a deep curiosity about the world and a sincere desire to help others, particularly those facing medical challenges.

In addition to his scientific work, he is also interested in modern art, singing, and perfume. Physical activity is an integral part of his daily routine, reflecting the principle: a healthy mind in a healthy body.

Marcin Ostrowski

PhD Researcher

Marcin Ostrowski is the Assistant in the project and PhD Student at the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland.

His research focuses on artificial intelligence, fuzzy sets, data and time series analysis, and the use of mathematical methods in medicine, with a strong interest in developing trustworthy AI systems.

Outside of his academic work, Marcin enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing and cycling, as well as spending time on painting.

Ansh Kapadia

PhD Researcher

Ansh Kapadia is the Assistant in the project and PhD Student at the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland.

His research focuses on explainable artificial intelligence, speech processing, time series analysis, and explainable artificial intelligence. He is particularly interested in combining rigorous theoretical methods with practical machine learning systems, developing models that are both high-performing and interpretable for complex sequential data such as speech.

Apart from academics, he enjoys gaming, swimming, exploring different cuisines and is currently learning to play the flute.

Katarzyna Kaczmarek-Majer

Principal Investigator

Katarzyna Kaczmarek-Majer is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project and Associate Professor at the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland.

Her research interests cover time series analysis, soft computing, computational statistics, sensor data analysis and medical applications. She enjoys and combines effectively the theoretical research with challenges identified in clinical practice, in particular in psychiatry.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running (cross-country and orienteering in particular), documentaries and travelling.

Katarzyna Woźnica

Post Doc Researcher

Katarzyna Woźnica is the Postdoctoral Researcher in the project and an Assistant Professor at the Warsaw University of Technology.

Her research interests include computational statistics, automated machine learning, explainable model analysis, and medical applications. She focuses on developing transparent and reliable data-driven methods to support decision-making in healthcare and related fields.

Beyond her academic work, Katarzyna enjoys hiking and travelling, often seeking opportunities to explore nature and visit culturally and historically significant places.

Katarzyna miś

Post Doc Researcher

Katarzyna Miś is a mathematician. She obtained her PhD at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Her research interests focus on the theory of fuzzy sets, approximate reasoning, functional equations and inequalities.

In her free time, she enjoys baking and travelling.
