Benchmarking Performance of a 2D Elliptic Solver

ABSTRACT

Recently a new parallel preconditioner has been proposed for 2D elliptic partial differential equations. It is based on circulant block-factorizations. The aim of the presentation is to compare its performance on a number of parallel computers (including shared memory, dynamic-shared memory and distributed memory machines).
