Sintering is a widely used material manufacturing process. From a Microstructural point of view, the process can be essentially modeled by a surface and a grain boundary diffusion. The mathematical model involves a high order nonlinear time dependent PDE with a moving boundary. We extend the model to cover complex particle geometry and build up a computational model suitable for using method of lines. Various numerical computation results will be presented and discussed.
