Those of you who are new to WebCT should find it is relatively self-explanatory. In addition, you can always consult the context-sensitive WebCT Help (find the word "Help" in Fig. 1 circled by the little blue circle). Obviously, Fig. 1 (and other figures in the Introduction) belongs to another course, and they are based on an earlier version of WebCT, but this is not a big problem as the general idea is the same and you should be able to handle this.

is what you are reading now. It provides you with the description of the workings of the course. The section “About the Quizzes” offers a detailed introduction to and explanation of the quizzes.
You must read it in its entirety. If anything is unclear, it is your responsibility to ask.
