Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences has been established in 1976. Research activity of the Institute concentrates around the thoretical and applied problems of:

  • systems analysis,
  • operation research,
  • financial mathematics,
  • optimization,
  • statistical quality control,
  • decision support systems,
  • artificial intelligence,
  • control theory,
  • theory of systems,
  • fuzzy sets and systems,
  • mathematical programming.

The Institute has the right to confer the Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees (doctor and doctor habilitatus) of technical sciences in computer sciences and control engineering and robotics.
The Institute employs 18 professors, 11 doctors.
The Institute runs a post-graduate study program directed towards Ph.D. degree in computer sciences and control engineering and robotics.
