General information:
Organised in the years 1995 - 1996 the extramural doctoral studies of SRI PAS, majored in "Computer science in management and finance", were originally acting under leadership of Professor Janusz Kacprzyk. Since 1998 the head of the studies has been Professor Jerzy Hołubiec. So far the studies have promoted 15 assistant professors. At present the studies gather 72 Ph.D. students.
In 2005, 29 students were admitted to the studies, 3 persons prepared their theses and the doctoral procedure was opened for 3 Ph.D. students.
In the framework of the study seminars the lectures were given to the doctoral students by following professors: Tadeusz Banek, Jakub Gutenbaum, Olgierd Hryniewicz, Jerzy Hołubiec, Jacek Koronacki, Roman Kulikowski, Ireneusz Nykowski, Danuta Rutkowska, Leszek Rutkowski, Piotr Szczepaniak, Tomasz Szapiro, Sławomir Wierzchoń, Josef Pieprzyk (Australia), Elisabeth Rakus-Andersson (Sweden), Witold Pedrycz (Canada), Giorgio Szëgo (Italy), Marida Bertocchi (Italy), as well as by Mieczysław Kłopotek, Ignacy Kaliszewski, Mirosław Bereziński, Marcin Malawski and others.
Since 1999 the Institute issues book series entitled: "Systems Analysis in Finance and Management", edited by Jerzy Hołubiec. The volumes include reviewed articles prepared by Ph.D. students. Some publications appeared in periodicals listed by ISI/Thomson Scientific as well as in materials of international conferences.
